Welcome to the Colorado Episcopal Cursillo Website! | |
The Music Team For Grand Ultreya 2008On June 27,28 2008 the Colorado Episcopal Cursillo held a Grand Ultreya and teaching in Dillon Colorado at Lord of the Mountain Lutheran Church. We started at 7:00 PM with a welcome by Martha Libby and Bishop O'Neill. The evening was your basic Ultreya with a music, a wonderful witness talk by Sean McGaughey and Gospel Response by the Bishop. We also received updates on the CEC Secretariat from Martha Libby and the NECC from Missi Kern. The evening concluded with a Teaching on "The Call" by Bishop O'Neill based on Matthew 4:18-22. On Saturday we started with a continental breakfast and Praise and Prayer by Bishop O'Neill and the Music Team. The Bishop presented three more teachings that day. Each teaching was followed by group discussions. The second teaching and discussion was titled "An Invitation with a Purpose" based on Genesis 12:1-3. The Third was titled "A Way of Transformation" based on Acts 9:1-10 and the last was called "A Life of Vocation" based on John 21:15-19. Bishop O'Neill had taken the Diocesan "motto", if you will, of Proclamation, Discipleship and Servanthood and changed it for our purposes to Invitation, Transformation and Vocation. It was not a coincidence that Sean's witness fit into this message. This setting of teachings and witness provided a wonderful realization for those present as to how God works in our lives and makes his call to us. At the end it was announced that The Rev. Don Seils and the Rev. Sarah Freeman are the Spiritual Directors for the Secretariat. |
